I led the development of a large online archive website based on Drupal CMS, starting with a migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. The project involved transforming and updating a substantial amount of data while maintaining the core design and user experience of the previous website. I utilized Drupal Views to make complex datasets easily accessible to both users and site administrators, ensuring that information could be retrieved efficiently.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with Virtual Yallourn, providing expert advice on solutions that balanced cost and functionality. By understanding their goals and challenges, I recommended approaches that maximized the effectiveness of the site while keeping the budget in check.
To ensure smooth collaboration, I created a development website where Virtual Yallourn could view and test changes in real-time. This allowed them to provide feedback and make adjustments before the final launch.
I also took responsibility for hosting services, ensuring the website’s reliability, security, and optimal performance. The result is a user-friendly, highly functional archive website that allows Virtual Yallourn to easily manage and present their extensive data while keeping operational costs in line.
This project showcases my skills in Drupal migrations, custom development, and client-focused solutions.
